The German Bundesliga this week:

31.10.09 15:30 VfB Stuttgart : FC Bayern München

31.10.09 15:30 Hamburger SV : Borussia M'gladbach

31.10.09 15:30 1. FC Köln : Hannover 96

31.10.09 15:30 1. FC Nürnberg : Werder Bremen

31.10.09 18:30 FC Schalke 04 : Bayer 04 Leverkusen

01.11.09 17:30 Eintracht Frankfurt : VfL Bochum 1848

A derby match this week when first in the table Leverkusen take on fourth in the table Schalke away from home, and only 2 points separating them. Second place Hamburg play against Gladbach at home, and third place Werder travel to Nurnberg who are in the relegation zone. It will also be a difficult game for Bayern (5th) who are facing Stuttgart (14th) away. In other matches Hoffenheim (6th) play away to Freiburg (12th) and former champions, Wolfsburg (7th), are facing Mainz (8th) at home. The last two teams of the Bundesliga, Bochum and Hertha are playing against Eintracht and Dortmund away.

FC Nürnberg Vs. Werder Bremen

Diekmeir is playing, for Nurnberg, against his former club and Nordtveit as a defensive midfielder. Hugo Almeida, Moreno, and Oehrl are all out and Pizarro maybe too.

There are many players absent for Werder who have looked unstable this year but it’s the match of the year for Nurnberg who are lying in the relegation zone. I predict a home win. 5.95 at Bwin

FC Schalke 04 Vs. Bayer 04 Leverkusen

Only small changes for Schalke as Farfan will replace Altintop in the starting lineup. No injury returns for Bayer Leverkusen and Reinard will start in the defensive midfield.

Schalke are a better team than Bayer and to be honest I think that Bayer are lucky to be on top. It was a close call for them last week but I don’t think they have a chance against a serious title challenger like Schalke. Leverkusen are going to lose this one I think. 2.30, Bwin (Home win), 2.95 (Over 3.5)

FC Köln Vs. Hannover 96

Köln will field a very attacking team for the game against Hannover. They will have Ehret on the left and Podolski on the right and Ishiaku in the front of the attack. For Hannover Enke is back in goal. Schulz and Egimann are out.

I predict a draw. Hannover are better than Koeln at this point but Köln have had some good results that have taken them just away from the relegation zone. I think that Köln will also take this one because it’s a game that they can handle at home and if they need a hope of winning something then it’s this one. Home win at 2.05, Bwin

Eintracht Frankfurt Vs. VfL Bochum 1848

Amanatidis is injured and unavailable for Eintracht. Mavraj and Epalle are in the first eleven for Bochum. Mavraj makes his debut in defence.

Bochum are in the relegation zone, and Eintracht in a very good league position. They would like to be leading from the first half but Bochum will play a game with no tomorrow. If Bochum scores then I predict an over 3.5 goals, and a big victory for Eintracht. Over 3.5 goals at 2.72, Bwin

Important Info for the rest of the games:

Borussia Dortmund Vs. Hertha BSC

No injuries for Borussia and Feulner may be in the starting lineup. Pisczek will start for Hertha, Rafael is on a yellow card limit.

VfL Wolfsburg Vs. 1. FSV Mainz 05

Hasebe moves to the right flank for Wolfsburg, Grafite is out, Dzeko Dejagah and Martins are in the starting line-up. For Mainz, Schürrle is available and the candidate to take Amri’s place in the attack.

VfB Stuttgart Vs. FC Bayern München

Hleb and Pogrebnyak will probably watch the game from the bench and Babbel may change the line-up a bit. Bayern will field the same winning eleven (4-0 against Frankfurt mid-week). Ribery is out injured.

Hamburger SV Vs. Borussia M'gladbach

Boateng is ready for Hamburg and probably will take Rozenhal’s place after he was booked. Jansen could also start instead of Trochowski. Also Jaures instead of Daems on the left side for Gladbach.
