Celtic Vs. Kilmarnock

Celtic are having a slow start in their games over the last weeks which has already cost them several points. The match against the outsiders - Hamilton was another tough encounter however with a lucky ending as The Hoops gained 3 points at New Douglas Park after a narrow 2:1 win. And thanks to the result from Ibrox, Tony Mowbray`s side is back at the top of the league with a one point advantage over their nearest rivals, Rangers. Captain McManus is out for today’s game which is a huge blow for Celtic’s already out of shape defence. Goalkeeper Zaluska on the other hand proved to be a solid replacement for injured Boruc.

Kilmarnock enjoyed their second win this season in the six-points match to St.Johnstone(2:1). Kevin Kyle scored 2 quick goals at Rugby Park which decided this tough encounter. However there is still a lot of work in front of coach Jim Jefferies. Ryan O'Leary is back to fitness after he missed the match to St.Johnstone.

It’s not going to be easy for the home team and I think even Killie could score in this match but Celtic should take all 3 points in the end. Home win.

Hibernian Vs. Aberdeen

Hibernian played a great match to Rangers away from home last week when they took a point for 1:1 draw. Their attacking approach has brought them a lot of points so far but has also taken them into a lot of trouble as well. Hibs were put under massive pressure by the Gers, but thanks to the completely toothless attack by the home team, they successfully defended the point. The good news is that John Hughes can count on all his players today.

Aberdeen were out of luck against Dundee at Pittodrie in the previous round. The Dons had several chances at goal but failed to net a single one and so lost to the Terros 0:2 in front of their own fans. Scoring goals seems to be the problem in general, as Aberdeen have often dropped points in the games where they are playing well but failing to score. Davide Grassi is out as well as influential defender Diamond.

I expect a tough match here which is open to any result. Hibs to win is the most probable one.

Motherwell Vs. Hearts

Motherwell dropped points to the outsiders again after a 3:3 draw to St.Mirren. And it has to be said that Jim Gannon`s side was lucky to get even a point there! However the Buddies took their revenge in midweek when they kicked Motherwell (3:0) out of the league cup. And six goals out of the last two games doesn`t make for an air of optimism especially before the match to Hearts. Defender Stevie Hammell remains sidelined along with Paul Slane.

Hearts seem to be an odd side this season. They draw the games to outsiders like Hamilton or Falkirk at home and a few days later they beat Celtic 1:0 in a cup game away from Tynecastle. The Jumbos have the potential to climb the league table but without points from games like these it will be really hard for them to do so. The morale-boosting win over Celtic brings some optimism but I really don’t know what to expect from Hearts today.

Another tough match with no bet for me.

St. Johnstone Vs. Falkirk

St.Johnstone won their cup match to Dundee (2:1) on Tuesday and they hope to gain their second league win to troubled Falkirk today. It seems the newcomers lack the experience as they often lose their games even when playing competitively. The Saints are scoring the goals but on the other hand they are conceding even more. Midfielder Martin Hardie and striker Collin Samuel are rated doubtful for this match while Steven Milne is out.

Falkirk remain the bottom side in the league without a single win so far this season. They have showed some improvement lately, especially when defending, but they are still looking rather bad. With only four goals scored in the first nine league games only makes to prove my point. Burton O'Brien, Carl Finnigan and Thomas Scobbie are all out while Danijel Marceta, Brian McLean and Ryan Flynn are

doubtful. I think this match will suit St.Johnstone as they can focus on the attack, seeing that Falkirk are proving to be a rather toothless side lately. Home win.

St. Mirren Vs. Hamilton

St.Mirren seem to be back in shape after wins over Hearts, Falkirk and Motherwell. They are playing well, and scoring a lot of goals and so progressing up the league table. Their only problems seem to be injuries, with Craig Dargo, Mo Camara, Chris Smith, Tom Brighton and Steven Robb sidelined, while Michael Higdon and Steven Thomson are rated doubtful.

Hamilton were close to a surprising draw to Celtic (1:2) last week but McArthur failed to score against Zaluska just few minutes before the final whistle. The Accies are facing the same difficulties they had last season, they are troubled in attack while conceding too many goals. Fortunately, striker Mickaël Antoine-Curier seems to be getting into shape at the moment.

St.Mirren should continue their good record. Home win.
